Galaxy Quantum 2 has come with anti-hacking cryptographic chip. Hacking on the phone is almost impossible because of the Quantum Random Number Generator chip. Han Myang-jin, Vice President, SK Telecom, said that the widespread use of quantum security technology has started through Galaxy Quantum 2 and will continue to do so in the future.
The phone is already available in the South Korean market. It is selling 699,600 won in Korean currency, which is about $622. Galaxy Quantum 2 with Snapdragon 855 Plus processor will run on Android 11 operating system. It has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display with QHD Plus resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and in-display fingerprint reader. It has a triple camera set up with a 64-megapixel main camera and a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the front. 4K video can be captured on both rear and front cameras.
There will be a 25 watt first charger for a 45,000 mAh battery. This 5G phone with IP67 rating also has GPS, Wi-Fi-6, NFC, Samsung Pay and USB Type-C port. The Galaxy Quantum 2's cryptographic chip will work with SK Pay, Pass, T-World, T-Membership, 11 Street services, including apps from Korea's Shinhan Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. And in the future this chip set will work with Samsung's own credit card.
The idea is that the Galaxy Quantum 2E will come to the market as the Galaxy A82.
